Virtual Fencing, Real Funding

Organized by the Hawaiʻi Rangeland Stewardship Foundation (HRSF) and Hawaiʻi Cattlemen’s Council (HCC), Nathaniel Slinkert, VENCE, conducted a presentation about virtual fencing. Virtual fencing allows ranchers to manage livestock with precision and efficiency, reduce the costs of physical fencing, improving feed utilization and stocking densities, and protect natural resources, habitats, and wildlife. This presentation also included special guest, Jill-Ficke Beaton, USDA, to share funding opportunities for Hawai'i ranchers.
